Allow me to whine.

  • Mood: Awestruck
  • Listening to: Brown Boxes, the only song I have left.
Warning, foul language ahead. That being said...

SHIT GODDAMMIT MOTHERFUCK BITCH SLUT WHORE.

Hopefully, it's out of my system.

So, anyway. I really want to say every day in my life has been a waking nightmare, but, I'll cut that shit. The last four days have been killer though. I want to scream out loud, or cry, or puke, or some combination of the three.

Personal feelings aside, technical problems have been swamping me. Recently got a new computer, sort of. Hand me down from a friend who got a new computer, actually. Slower processor, better video card, and less explosive. So, whoo hoo!

I run Linux instead of Windows. Ubuntu for the past several years, and just recently, OpenSuSE 11. I formatted a drive for Suse, worked awesome, all the bells and whistles, so to say. It was for this same computer, but I swapped my hard drive with my preexisting Suse install into the rig.

It didn't work that easy, so I had to format and reinstall Suse. No big deal. I've once installed six different Linux OSes on the same PC in one waking period. I'm used to it.

Well, this time, it didn't go so hot. This time, Suse had a hissy fit, and wouldn't work correctly at all. Same exact hardware as before, but now, Suse has decided to fight my hardware for all it's worth.

So, I fuck with it for several hours, and finally get it to work right. I reinstall my media player of choice, Amarok. If it's available for Windows, it comes highly recommended from me. I really appreciate the interface, it gets the job done, and then some, it has never failed me.

Till now. I hooked up my iPod, proceeded to load it into Amarok, and after 1500 times, Amarok decided my iPod no longer deserved to live. Amarok killed my iPod, and with it, the only copies I had of 40 gigs worth of music. Let me retract that recommendation. Use it, but don't tempt it to eat MP3Players.

40-fuck-gigs. Only approximately half of that was regularly listened to. But that's not the damn point, the point is, it's all gone, and with it, a lot of shit that is -really- goddamn hard to find went too. Old soundtracks for video games that are nearly impossible to find are gone. A handful of songs that I've never seen on the internet, and a lot of shit I'm never going to be able to find again.

All gone. Not to mention my glorious collection of the Eels, Cake, Nine Inch Nails, et cetera. All gone, gone bye-bye. Bye, bye, bye.

Fuck, have to get Marcy Playground again. I miss them more than I should already.

So. To make matters worse, shortly after that, Suse struck again. One of my DVD drives locked up hardcore, no idea what to do. restarting has had no effect, and I'll be damned if open the case up, and take it apart for the 6th time in two fucking days.

I just finished painting the case, sans case designs, but the base coat is done, and it looks awesome.

Key word, looks. At a glance, look too close, and you can tell it has been fucked up seriously. The finish is supposed to be smooth, but it's not. In some places, you can feel a cracking texture. Out of spray, out of money, and out of patience.

Linux isn't the only thing guilty of making me want to blow electronic equipment up. My shitty XP laptop has also seen better days, it's taken to blue screening. Interesting conundrum really, going back to the iPod. Amarok locked it up somehow, and it reads as completeley full, and unreadable or writable. The method to unlock it, as far as I know, hinges on iTunes. iTunes, on my XP laptop, however, causes the goddamn laptop to blue screen.

I'll quote NiN for a minute here.

"Put the gun in my mouth, close your eyes, blow my fucking brains out."

I'm tired as hell, it's late. Still have to fix my computer. I'll pop off down to the store, grab an energy drink. Have to remember to take my iPod-OH SHIT! WAIT IT'S FUCKING BRICKED! Guess I'll take my CD player-OH SHIT WAIT I THREW THAT SHIT AWAY YEARS AGO!

130 dollar Deck Keyboard is busted. Bought it in October. Using the ancient IBM Model-M keyboard. Awesome keyboard, louder than the engine of a fucking jet plane though.

That's my rant. Needed to vent something, dig?

In good news, I haven't cut off my drawing hand -yet-. I might just post something before I die!

C'mon, world! Let me see you smile!
